On the Southeast corner of Broad and McKean, there seemed to be a somber convergence of old timers. They were dressed in these outrageously silly costumes but their mood appeared sad and a bit angry.

This guy in particular gave me the feeling of incredible sadness.
He seemed frozen to the stone wall in front of the old PSFS bank.
It was very cold that morning but I saw him standing stock still
vigil-like for an hour before the parade started.
