It started to snow just
as the Parade started,
adding an Eerie Medieval Feeling to the proceedings.
Part of the charm of this parade is the way that the participants
cope with inclement weather.
| Wind is especially
hard on the "Fancies" whose members are harnessed to massive sail like contraptions of dyed ostrich feathers, satin, sequins and wood. The snow disappeared as quickly as it came, and it was a brisk but sunny day by the time the other divisions marched. |
