The Fancy Divisions
and
Fancy Brigades

The Fancy Divisions name reflects their mission
- to bring dazzling displays of color,
form and texture to life.
The magnificence in size and beauty of their
costumes takes one's breath away.
The Fancy Division is Judged on how well
they play out in color and grandeur the traditional
Fancy dress themes -
king jockey, trio clowns, handsome trim,
pantomime clowns and juveniles.
The captains of each Fancy Club compete
in a separate category to determine the "best
dressed" club captain.

The Fancy Brigades are groups performing as units
rather than in individual competition.
The brigades present choreographed
shows with members in elaborate costumes
depicting a theme.The staging of these
presentations includes Broadway stage like
scenery which has to be assembled each time the
brigade presents their show. performers in the
brigade concentrate on the dance steps an use a
separate group of individuals not in competition to
provide music. the brigades are judged on how
effectively and spectacularly the portray their
chosen theme in costume and performance.
