This is another of my early instruments.
This time I disassembled two wine crates and rigged them together
to get a larger resonating chamber..  
The tongs are made out of stainless steel shelf brackets
that I found on the street,  and square cross section rods
that I found at a Canal St. (NYC) surplus store. 
Someone told me once that they were welding rods
but I have never confirmed this. 
They have a beautiful bell like sound.  
I would like to find some more. 
The resonating plate on the bottom is made from
a hammered lid to a hundred pound container of dishwashing detergent. 
The mallets are dowels tipped with champagne corks and wrapped rubber bands.
