When the Cyberbuss arrives, she tends to make an entrance, hot climate or no.  Here's Rina and Ryk on the roof blowing bubbles and generally hooting it up as The Buss drives slowly down the main street.

One thing we didn't count on was the low power lines. One way to think of the Cyberbuss is that unburdened she stands half as tall as she is long, and she's 23 feet long, and we had patio chairs and bicycles strapped to the roof rack..........

There was an ominous catching sound, then some shouts, and before we could slam the break pedal there was a twang like an arrow out of a bow, and a snapped power line lay behind us.

After freeing the line from the bikes, we laid it across the middle of the street.  We had no idea what to do next, and we had no idea whether the line was still live.

Christ! All this and no passports. U guys aren't looking too fortunate right now.

Get Roby to stick the cable in his mouth to see if it's live. THAT would make a great picture.

In the middle of this tangle you can see the line hanging,

and that's the telephone poll that we uprooted from the lawn of the connecting house.

Suddenly the empty streets weren't so empty,

and La Policia were on the scene.
