It wasn't particularly hot in the day, at least not Burning Man hot, so we could go off on little side adventures. Here's Sam on top of some tuffa formations, I'll let someone else describe what a tuffa is, because I'm sure I'll get it wrong. I probably even spelled it wrong.

Here's a closeup of some tuffa. Guess how fun that is to walk on with bare feet.

A well-booted Digital Dan marches onward.

(none yet, yo)

What the hell is tuffa?:

Mojo, Sam and I hiked up the newly dubbed Rock Hound Ridge, which looks over the pyramid, as does pretty much everything around here. We were so close you could almost stick your tongue out and lick it.

A man and his dog survey the horizon.

As did a man and his sideburns.

thats Rock Dog Ridge yo

-------

dude, what is it about your hair? either there's not enough or there's way, way too much. I say this with the greatest admiration and affection.

-------

Sam? Are you wearing socks?

-------

All I need is a high powered rifle with a scope and I could hold off the police for a long time from this spot.

But Mojo wanted to head back to camp I think. Sam was telling Mojo not to jump. "Patience Mojo, patience".

Let's get the hell out of here.

It was a long way home down that rocky ridge, but Mojo proved himself a rock hound worthy of Rock Hound Ridge. We only had to carry him over one or two sections.

The government plans to build a nuclear power plant at this location in the year 2018.

-------

They would build it sooner, but they have to clear all of the nuclear waste out of the lake first to make the area safe.
