Here's a good shot of our camp, or I should say of Red's Toys: in the pile at right is her trumpet, cello (the Jazzbo Apparatus), and a watermelon Jack-a-Lantern. Does anyone else predict lots of watermelon lanterns at Burning Man 99? In the background is my van, Van Glorious the WryBreadBox, and hanging on Van Glorious are two of Red's playa paintings.

------- I could be wrong- but that van needs better shocks-hahahaa ------- Many years ago at the burning man (93?) every one brought watermellons we had to start blowing them up! java cow ------- Whoa! And I thought I had the only W-lantern! Suggestion: Try a long mellon on-end, and cut the classic alien face (huge eyes, long forehead, small slit for a mouth). The glowing red interior is a good contrast with the green exterior. (Note for persons new to carving watermelons: Melons split easily. Careful with the knife. ------- |
