Most of the mummers are
white.
But this particular group was pretty well integrated.
So, I thought it was pretty strange that they chose a routine called
Headhunter's Bar-B-Q.
I did not see them do their routine.
Maybe it was more p.c. than I suspect.

They had beautiful costumes, that they must have spent months and thousands of dollars to create, but like most of the groups, they put little apparent thought or money into their banner. I suspect that this must be another wacky hidebound Mummers tradition. |
