This is a small (about 3 ft. long) version of the much bulkier Slapophone. 
It has a sound similar to popping your mouth with your fingers.  
It's made of painted carboard tubes, whose tops are cut at an angle
to give more suface area to pop with the paddle. 
The striking area is reinforced with an epoxy putty. 
The paddles are made of rubber from flip- flops.
When played it rests against your knees while you sit in a chair.
