When the sun finished its rising we headed for the ski resort, which was like 20 mins away.

We weren't even sure if it'd be open, and almost the whole mountain was. Definite rocky patches, but plenty of snow. Note that run down the little bowl to the left of the top of the lift line, the path through the rocks, since as of taking this picture I was right about to have the best fall I'd even seen right down the middle of it.

and the snow was great if sparse. It was largely manade, and manmade snow has a way of becoming hardpacked and slick, and this slope was really steep and smooth, which meant a fall would pretty much send you to the bottom, over those rocks.....
