The Barn. As the story was told to me, it was once a boat
storage house until the Navy filled the area with landfill moving the beach an
eighth of a mile away. Then when the Navy was done with the area someone bought
the structure, sand and water blasted the whole thing until it was liveable, and
rented the space out to artists. I'm sure I have a bunch of details muddled, but
I think that's the gist.
