We left La Paz, Cabo San Lucas bound.

We explored Todos Santos, which is a famous gringo "artist colony".  Your usual town of dirt roads,

mar24-50.jpg (90029 bytes)

slapped together houses,

mar24-51.jpg (31262 bytes)

and posters of this guy.  His picture is pretty common down here in Baja Sur, and it's hard to tell whether it's an election thing or a Big Brother thing.

Presumably there is a chichi gringo part of town but mercifully we didn't find it.  Instead we watched the shark fishermen on the beach,

and joined this French guy for a little surf casting.  I couldn't catch a thing, and neither could the six or seven Mexicans also fishing from the beach, but he was pulling out a fish every five minutes.   Maddening.

"chichi"?

Yes, that's right the American's won the war. Don't believe those movies pal, you should know the power of Hollywood and not to trust it.
Apart from Pearl Harbour (and not just the awful film either) what the fuck did you have to deal with?

That looks a bit like Saddam Hussein on the side of that building. Is he still shagging Satan?

I should mention I'm British.

There were some ruins up in the hills,

mar24-70.jpg (34231 bytes)

and the ghost of Roby-Wan lurked within.  It was getting dark though, and we had to find a place to camp, and there was pretty much nothing between here and Cabo San Lucas.

So we had to stay at this hard-core RV park.  Everyone was older than 60, all the signs were in English, and I don't think they even accepted pesos.  Everyone had their boats and trailers on proud display,

and this guy cut straight to the chase.   We fell asleep on the roof of the Cyberbuss with sounds from televisions wafting from all the RVs.
